(MONCTON, NB) The University de Moncton hosted the final pre-championship meet of the AUS cross-country season. The 6km race took the 77 finishers across the UdeM campus, which many regard as the toughest course in the AUS.
In an eight team competition, the Varsity Reds finished a season best third overall, with 120pts. The top team was Dalhousie, currently ranked 8th in the nation, with 18 points. St. FX finished second, followed by UNB, Acadia and Memorial.

“Getting back on the podium feels great," said coach Jason Reindl. "Any time we can finish on the podium in this competitive conference is a step in the right direction and something we can be proud of." Reindl added, "heading into the conference championships, it shows that we are right where we want to be."

Next up, the AUS Championships in Fredericton, at Odell Park, hosted by St. Thomas University, on October 31st. The women’s 6km race will start at 12:00pm.
