The UNB Varsity Reds/Papa John’s Pizza female Athlete of the Week is Grace Wade, from the women’s basketball team.
Wade scored 11 points and had 3 assists in UNB’s loss to Cape Breton in the semi-finals at the AUS Basketball Championships.
“Grace played quite well in our semi-final loss,” says Varsity Reds head coach Jeff Speedy. “To be honest, she kept us in the game in the second half. She was a true leader all game and played with her signature grit the entire game.”
